Ricketts Glenn winter hike.

On March 10th 2015, My girlfriend Jonelle and two friends, Chris Fraley and Fast Eddie, had planed to hike a part of Ricketts Glenn State park on the falls trail. We met around 10:30 to start our hike, we discussed our route we were gonna take. We decided to Hike from 118 parking area to the Shawnee falls on the Glen Leigh side and work our way back down.

This was My first winter hike at Ricketts and will alway be remembered. That hike wasn't to difficult but having microspikes and our ice axes really came in handy. The falls in a frozen state were just amazing, I don't even have the words to describe it. I wont even try, I will leave you with some of the pictures I managed to take and a very short video I put together, enjoy!

Glen Onoko Falls trail, winter hike

The end of January 2015, I decided to do a day hike at Glen Onoko in Jim Thorpe PA. The hike was very rewarding with some beautiful frozen waterfalls and cascades. I also explored the ridge top and seen an amazing view. Seeing this area in the winter lets you see it in an all new way. If you plan to do this hike I highly recommend bringing some traction devices for your shoes. Make sure to check out my short trip video of this hike.

Loyalsock State Forest, Ketchum Run Loop

Last weekend I took a short overnight trip in the Loyalsock State Forest. Baxter and I started on the Fern Run trail and did a short off trail hike down Ketchum Run to the Loyalsock Trail. We experienced rain, some snow and strong winds during the night. The highlights of this trip were some great off trail waterfalls and cascades and some excellent views on the LT. Here is a short trip report video, hope you enjoy!

4th of July weekend of 2013 I took Baxter for a section hike on the Appalachian Trail in New Jersey. Believe it or not I think the NJ section of trail is a beautiful and scenic portion of the AT. You get great views and the natural wonder of Sunfish Pond. Well anyway we started at the Delaware Water Gap and hiked to High Point, I hope you enjoy my video trip report.
